How Sweet It Is Resounding Success

Frankie J Holden with his wife Michelle Pettigrove , accompanied by the Willis Brothers, David and Geoff played to sell out crowds on Saturday night 29 April and again at a matinee on Sunday 30 April in the heritage listed Twyford Hall Merimbula.

The crowd were treated to a highly professional performance on each day and responded warmly to the life stories of Frankie and Michelle. They took the crowd on a journey from the rock and roll era through to the present day. The Hall rocked with laughter and whooped and shouted with the songs of the times, including Diane, She Wears My Ring sang in operatic style, Michelle, Playing Whoopee and finishing with How Sweet It Is. An absolute triumph.

The performers donated their time free of charge to the Theatre Twyford by the Sea Project and raised over $10,000.

The performance ended with a version of Imagine , with words crafted by Frankie and Michelle inviting the audience to Imagine a 200 seat raked theatre built adjacent to the existing Twyford Hall. And as Frankie sang, imagine your arse on a plush velvet seat with raked seat vision, state of the art lighting and sound and stage amenities.

SPECTRUM THEATRE GROUP provided front of house at no cost and special thanks goes to Greg Whitby, Robyn Whitby, Di Johnston, Beverly, Sam Roberts and Judy Davidson  and all the team.

If you want to learn more about this exciting new proposed development a series of Open Days will be held on each Saturday of May in the Twyford Room next to the Hall in Market Street between 10am and 12  noon. Visitors will be able to view and discuss the Plans for the Theatre with members of the Twyford Hall Incorporated Committee.
